Highland Perthshire is one of the best places in Scotland to be based for paddlesports. There really is something for everyone.
The upper Tay runs past our door and gives reliable year round white water. Within 45 minutes drive we have the Tummel system, Perthsire Garry, Braan, Lyon and Dochart. The Teith, Orchy, Awe and Gaur aren’t much further. At 17 miles long Loch Tay gives us plenty to play with, and Tummel, Faskally and Freuchie are within striking distance. Close to the A9 and with the A85 at the other end of the loch, it’s easy to go north for highland rivers or out to the west coast’s stunning scenery.
Coaching for us is about partnership and investment. Together we’ll aim to equip you with the skills and experience to enjoy your own adventures. As well as technical skill development, all our coaching involves tactics, desision making, safety, planning and logistics, and tools for managing the ‘head game’.

Just you.
1:1 coaching is an efficient and effective way of moving you towards your paddling goals. Our time can be fully matched to your needs, with the flexibility to respond to challenges and questions along the way. 1:1 coaching can be intense. We work hard to get the right balance of feedback and space, focused tasks and time to experiment.
If you want to share your coaching day with someone that’s fine too. We limit it to 3 people (4 if tandem canoe) to make sure everyone gets lots of input.
Groups and open courses
Learning with a group can be a great way to widen your experienaces as you share ideas and learn from each other.
We offer stand alone days and progressive skill development series.

Paddlesport is all about the variety!
We can operate on rivers and on open inland water in kayak, canoe and SUP.

There is something incredibly special about moving through a landscape under your own power, for an extended or interruption free length of time. It can be hard work, but we want it to be a joy not a slog. We pack light but comfortable, enjoy good real food and build in plenty of time to explore and connect with place and people.

Open journeys

We offer a number of led jouneys on lochs and rivers in some of Scotland’s finest locations.

Years of practise watching conditions means we know which rivers will be running and where will have just the right amount of wind to have a great day out.

Travelling on the water with everything you need in your boat lets you acsess some incredible places. Scotland offers some world class multi-day journeys suitbale for all levels.

We have a few open booking expeditions. Most are bespoke bookings though, so that we can tailor your journey to be exactly as you want.

It could be a night on a secret island, a paddle and munro mission, or a classic such as the Great Glen or Rannoch Moor crossing.

Whatever your expedition dreams look like, we’d consider it a privilige to play a part in making it happen.

Confidence Boosters
We paddle best when we’re feeling good about it.
Sometimes that ‘feeling good’ disappears or maybe never quite arrives in the first place and we’re left feeling a bit off, nervous or striaht up scared by something we really want to enjoy. As we paddle we are constantly making decisons, weighing up risk and managing a dynamic environment so a confidence knock can feel really unsettling. You might know exactly why you’re feeling wobbly or you might not have a clue. That’s ok. It’s normal.
When you’re ready to move past it, our specific confidence boosting coaching sessions are ideal.
Together we create a space where you feel supported enough that you don’t need to be brave, but if you want to be brave we’re right there with you. We keep numbers low, meeting each other before paddling by video call and giving as much or as little information as you need. We build plenty of time into the day so you don’t feel rushed. We can work on specifics if that’s what you need. We are real about the challenges and creative about solutions.
Most of all we have fun! Because that’s what it’s all about.
